This number keeps ringing and then hanging up straight away, which is annoying and actually stops genuine customers from contacting our booking service. We had no choice but to block it now.

They rang my phone loads of times over three days - like eight times the first day, then seven the next, and another eight the day after. I reckon it’s a call centre because the numbers kept changing slightly, usually swapping the last digit from 4 to 2. When I set up our BT call blocker, these numbers were the first ones I added. After a couple of times trying, the callers got the message “your call is not being accepted” and never bothered ringing again.

Got loads of calls from a withheld number yesterday, maybe about 8 times. My neighbour’s number is also withheld, so I thought it might be him and picked up. No one spoke at the other end. I tried answering a few more times to see what it was about, planning to bore the caller by going on about my dodgy back, but it never got to that. I've had a few annoying calls lately and asked them how they got my number since I’m signed up with the TPS. Turns out, these lot are faking being the TPS to scam people! They rang me twice within an hour. On the first call, I answered a couple of questions before hanging up. When they called back, I gave them a right telling off, saying he sounded just like all the cold callers I keep getting and if he was truly from the TPS, there was no reason to call me at all! Then I ended the call. Next time, I won’t hold back at all.

Got a call from an Asian guy claiming he worked for the TPS. I didn’t give him any details, just kept quiet and let him go on. When he eventually tried to get my Direct Debit info, I flat out refused. Then I told him I was phoning from the moon, covered in green and yellow spots. Asked if he believed me. He sounded stunned, so I said I believe you about as much as you believe me, and then told him not to ring back. Click.

I recently got a BT phone with a 'call guardian' feature, and it's pretty brilliant. Unwanted callers just get cut off before they can even say anything. The phone actually tells you which numbers tried to ring and then hung up, which is what led me to look up this number and find this site. The BT8600 with the advanced call blocker is definitely a good buy. If it’s a legit caller, they'll say who they are and carry on properly, but these annoying nuisance calls usually don’t bother.

On 13-11-2017 they rang me about 8 or 9 times, but I didn’t pick up! Seeing what others are saying, I think I’ll just ignore them. Unless, maybe I’ll let my 2 year old grandson, who loves chatting on the phone, take the call instead! ??

We got a call from someone with an Asian accent saying they were from TPS. They started by asking if we're tired of scam calls, then tried to trick us into giving card info to stop them. Got a call from an international number four times today. Didn’t pick up at first cause I wasn’t sure who it was. Eventually I did and it was a lady with an Asian accent saying she was checking something about the telephone preference service. i've just reported this phone number to the citizens advice bureau. it seems like there might be a breach in the telephone preference service that we signed up for only last week. ever since then, i've been getting loads of calls from this number asking for my bank info and other personal stuff. the blocking service number they gave us is legit and is supposed to start working next month, but the calls coming from this are definitely dodgy. i'm also filing a report with action fraud, worried that other people who’ve used the official call blocking might fall for the same scam.

This number has tried ringing me loads of times today. It's not just annoying but also really risky if you give out that info. These scams seriously need to be cracked down on.
