I received a call that supposedly came from a company along the lines of Personal Resource Outsourcing or something of that nature. Upon picking up, I was greeted by a rather mechanical voice that informed me they were unable to link me to a representative at that moment and assured me they would ring back later. Quite peculiar, really!

Some con artist called up saying their system showed us as a bad credit risk - total rubbish. Luckily for him, my wife answered the phone instead of me, she's way more courteous to these sorts than I am!

Got two calls where they just hung up before I could say anything. Then on the third call, a lady asked for me by name and said I’d won some sort of competition - 10 lotto tickets or something. She kept asking how often I played and if I’d won anything before. When I tried to ask if she’d called earlier and then just dropped the call, she didn’t answer and just kept pushing questions about my lotto wins. I ended up hanging up on her.
