Got two calls from this bloke claiming he could send me a new SIM with unlimited texts and calls plus 2GB data, saying it’s cheaper than my current plan. Then he started asking for my full name, DOB, and bank info. Yeah, right, total scam.

Received a call from someone claiming to be O2, and they mentioned I could get a £15 credit. I reminded them that I’m on pay-as-you-go. Then, out of the blue, they requested my address and bank details, apparently for “security”. What really got me was when they insisted the call was being recorded but they needed to switch off the recording to take my bank information! How ludicrous is that? Naturally, I ended the call right then and there! They must think I'm a complete fool! Do not engage with them; it's nothing but a scam and definitely not O2!

Somebody rang claiming to be from o2, offering free credit. I mentioned I’m on pay-as-you-go but then they asked for my bank info for “security” and said calls were being recorded. Then suddenly, they said they had to stop recording because they weren’t supposed to take bank details over the phone, and turned it off while asking. That was my cue to hang up - it’s a total scam, definitely not o2! No credit is coming in the post, it’s just a trick to grab your personal info. Seriously, steer clear of these calls and don’t get tempted by free stuff!

Got two calls from this number today already. I usually just ignore calls from numbers I don’t know. It shows up as being from Ballymena, Ireland. I tried ringing back and it says it’s an O2 number, but the only O2 numbers I’ve had before are from Sheffield. Something about this feels dodgy, so I’m steering clear of it.

So, this number left me a voicemail, but my phone never showed any missed calls from it. When I listened, there was a bit of silence, then someone said goodbye in a Northern accent. It kinda sounded like an old mate of mine. I tried calling back, and it said the call was from O2 and that I missed it. Still, I was convinced it was her. Then I saw the number was based in Northern Ireland, but she’s never lived there, so it can’t be her, right? Honestly, I’m proper confused now.
