This number has been ringing me daily. I picked up briefly just to hear what they’d say - the first time it sounded like a woman, then later an Asian guy. They claimed I was with O2, but that’s not true. I told them to stop calling me but they just wouldn’t listen. When I asked if it was some kind of scam, the person actually admitted, “yes, it’s a scam madam”. I told them to get lost and ended the call straight away!

Got a call saying I’d supposedly ordered a SIM card. They started asking for my personal info, but I refused to share anything. Got a call from an Irish guy looking for Karen. I told him there’s no Karen here, and then he asked if maybe he’d dialled the wrong number. I said he must be looking for someone else then. Got a call earlier from someone saying they were with O2, looking for another person. I said it wasn’t me they wanted, then they started asking who I was. I said that was none of their business and ended the call. They were going on about a SIM card supposedly ordered online or something.

I got a call from someone asking if I was 'Amy Collins' and said they had a SIM card for that person. I told them that wasn’t me. Then they asked if I was with O2. I said yes. After that, they asked if my name was actually xxx, which it is. I said, "So you’ve got my name then?" They explained they found it by entering my number in their system. I told them it could easily come from job adverts or social media. I also mentioned, "Hang on a minute, anyone could type this number in and pretend to be from a company." When I said, "Sounds like you’re a scam, is that right?" they chuckled and said, "Yes madam, we are a scam." I told them to get lost and never call me again.

Got a call from O2 asking for my daughter. I told the lady nicely that I’m her dad. She said she wanted to talk to her about a free sim card offer. Someone said they were calling from 02 and told me i'd won an iphone x, saying they’d send me a free pay as you go sim through the post. Then they started asking loads of questions about my phone plan. I told them they should know that since i’m with 02 already, but then they said something about calling people from different accounts so they don’t have my info. It was a bit worrying since they had my address. I just ended the call.

i’m not sure who this number is, but after a bit of searching it seems to be from ballycastle, northern ireland. since northern ireland is part of the uk, there’s no separate international code for calling inside the uk. if you’re dialing from outside the uk, you’d use the code 0044 and leave out the leading zero in the number. so for this number, you’d call it like 0044 2825420303. hopefully that helps a bit even though i can’t tell who it’s actually for. when i answered, the call just ended.
