Got a call from 02821788475 at about 11:10 today - some bloke claiming to be Stephen Hawking rising from the dead! He said there’s a massive lawsuit hanging over me, and if I don’t ring back, I’ll face some serious money troubles. Can’t wait to see how this plays out! By the way, don’t blame the TPS - it’s only effective for genuine UK companies who’ve signed up and keep their info current. TPS itself doesn’t actually stop calls, it just holds a list of folks who don’t want marketing calls and asks trustworthy firms to avoid ringing those numbers.

My disabled elderly mum got a call from these people again, threatening her with arrest and jail if she didn’t pick up. She was really scared but luckily rang me instead of them. I looked up the number online and came across this site - what a relief. I tried calling the number back and some bloke with an Asian accent said he was from HMRC. I told him straight away he wasn’t HMRC, then he hung up and somehow blocked my phone so I couldn’t make any calls. Does anyone know where I can report this number?

When I rang back, a bloke with a bit of an Asian accent answered and said he was from HMRC.

Got a call from this number earlier today claiming I owed taxes and that HMRC said I’d been involved in some fraud.
