Some bloke from Switch and Save called, reckon they’re meant to be online only??? Said he’d cut my line rental down to £14. When I asked if he was with Openreach, he dodged the question at first then said yes after I pressed him. Proper fibber. As if they’d just start giving money back to people without being asked. I got a call and only answered after a moment's hesitation. I've had silent calls from them before. This time, a man who said his name was "Rodney" (I reckon he was Indian) was trying to sell me a cheap phone line rental at £14.99 a month. I asked who the provider was and who would be sending the bills, and he said V4 Telecom. I looked them up and found their phone number is 024 7758 0005. Since both that number and the one that called me are in Coventry, it seems likely they’re linked and that "Rodney" actually works for V4. I advised him to make sure he checks his TPS records.

A man with an Asian accent called, said his name was Sean from Switch and Save. He kept calling me by the names of folks who haven’t even lived here for over a decade. Straight away, I told him to take my number off their marketing list. Then he started asking if I wanted to lower my rent bills. I made it clear I wasn’t interested but he kept pushing. After I again insisted he remove my number, he just hung up on me.
