Some bloke with a strange accent rang me saying there was something wrong with my computer. I asked him which one, as I’ve got three on the go right now. He said it was the one with Windows. I told him straight up he was trying to scam me and mentioned we’re registered with the TPS, then I ended the call. Number’s blocked now - just curious how many blocked calls my phone can actually keep.

Somehow they managed to get hold of my work phone number, even though its on a secure network, and they kept bothering me for days till I had to block them. Now I keep getting voicemails filled with just background noise from what sounds like a call centre. Honestly, its not worth your time.

They disconnected as soon as the voicemail kicked in. This must be around the tenth occasion they’ve tried reaching me. Occasionally, they allow the message to play, only to hang up shortly after. My voicemail clearly states that I won’t be taking any calls, yet they persist in trying to get through. Seems like these scammers aren't the sharpest tools in the shed!

Received a call purporting to be from a tech support outfit, insisting that my computer was in danger. Things took a turn when I requested the name of his company to investigate further; he became quite irate.

Some bloke called saying our computer was full of hidden problems. When we asked how to check ourselves, he said it was impossible and he had to fix it for us, told us to sit by the PC. Got a call that sounded like it came from India or Pakistan, judging by the accent. They said they were from some "Techhelpline," which is a slight change from the usual Microsoft nonsense. They started with the typical story about errors and hacking attempts. I kept them talking, asked loads of questions, got a bit awkward, and finally called them out as scammers. As soon as I did, they just hung up. Bit disappointing, really.

I just told them "Sorry, you've reached an unsubscribed police number, I’m DC Johnson, get your supervisor on the line." They started stumbling over their words, and I ended the call. They also sounded annoyed that the first person who answered clearly didn’t know how to use a computer or the internet, and I let them know that too.
