It was definitely a scam call. They tried to get my name and what internet service I use, but as soon as I wouldn’t tell them, they just ended the call.

I got a call from an automated voice telling me I was getting hacked and my internet would be cut off in a day. It said if I was with BT, press 1, or press 2 for another provider. I pressed 2 and then someone answered but I could barely make out what she said. She claimed she wanted to help solve the issue. She asked about how many devices I had online and then about how many lights were lit up on my router. I couldn’t catch what she said next and told her to ring back in 30 minutes, but she never did.

Phone rang and there was silence for a bit, then some bloke with an accent started claiming he was with some telecom company I’d never come across before. When I asked for more details, he just hung up straight away. Blocked the number after that.
