Just got a call from someone saying he was Richard, claiming to be from Techline in Coventry? Seemed a bit fishy to me, not sure if it’s legit or one of those pesky scammers. Anyone else heard of Techline or this Richard character?

For the past few days, around 2 in the afternoon, I've been getting calls from 02476681901. It usually rings about five times before they just hang up. I’ve stopped picking up altogether.

Sounds like one of those scams, just yammering on about your computer! Honestly, your best bet is to just cut the call right away!

Got a call from this number, some bloke with an Asian accent saying there was an issue with our PC, same old rubbish. I told him we don’t run Windows, we use Linux instead. He just cut the call right away. Planning to report this number to Action Fraud, they’re just lowlifes trying to scam folks out of cash.

Had this number ring me about 3 times, but each time there was just silence when I answered. On the 4th ring, some bloke with an Asian accent said I owed BT for my internet, even though I get mine through a different company. Told him I didn’t even have broadband (which isn’t true) and he kept going on about my PC or laptop. Said I didn’t have those either (again, not true haha). I asked him to slow down and repeat himself a few times just to mess with him, then he ended up hanging up. Felt like wasting his time was the only way to stop it!

I’ve been getting calls from this number loads, but I usually just ignore it. I checked it on here and, just like I thought, it’s one of those scammy calls. Honestly, I’m fed up with all these annoying nuisance calls!

Got a call claiming my Microsoft licence was about to expire. I bought my laptop like 7 years back, came with Windows 7 and other Microsoft stuff already installed. Naturally, I don’t get updates anymore. This guy was telling me they’d deactivate my current licence or something? I told him I’d ring up Microsoft myself, then he just hung up. Pretty clear that was a scam.

The moment I picked up, I hung up straight away. It seems they trick you into ringing back, which just connects you to a costly premium line. Loads of numbers like this have tried to phone me before.

I got a call from 02476 681901 about some software download problem. At first it seemed alright but then I started to get suspicious and he got a bit annoyed when I didn’t play along. The bloke’s accent made me think he was calling from somewhere far off, so I just ended the call.

I think it was one of those cold call things, cause as soon as I took a bit of time to pick up, the caller just dropped the line. Feels like it was a scam, honestly.

Got a call from someone with a strange accent, claiming that for the past weeks every time I went online, my PC was downloading massive amounts of data and causing Microsoft programs to crash one by one. I told them I had already checked my internet usage and there was no spike at all. Then they changed their tune and said, ‘no, you’re not actually downloading anything.’ After that, they just ended the call.

Got a call from someone saying they were from Microsoft tech support, telling me there was an issue with my computer. I asked if they really worked for Microsoft, and they said they were with some place called Techiine in Coventry. I then tried getting a straight answer by asking for the postcode of their office. Instead of replying, he kept on about the problem with my PC. When I asked again, he just hung up on me. Pretty sure they were trying to sneak into my computer for dodgy reasons.
