A bloke named Ryan rang me, and the line cut out for a second before coming back. He said he wasn’t trying to sell me anything, but then started on about my computer being infected with malware. I acted like I’d just seen a ghost, practically fainted a dozen times and started shaking all over, just to stall him. He carried on with his usual spiel, trying to get my details, but I told him I’ve wrecked more PCs than he’s eaten breakfasts, and he quickly hung up. Proper scammer with a cheeky tone. Shame we weren’t stuck together in a phone box nearby, would’ve sorted it differently.

This number rings me pretty much every day. If a dodgy caller gets hold of your number, you're stuck with it forever unless you switch your phone or, if it’s a landline, use a call blocker. BT have one that actually works quite well.

Some bloke with a male voice called, sounded alright at first, asked about my washing machine insurance and even knew my name and where I live. Got a call from a lady with an Indian accent calling herself Rose. She claimed to work for some firm named Share and Save, saying they could cut my landline bill by 20 to 50%. She kept asking who I was and who handled the phone payments. I told her I didn’t really know. Then she laughed and called me silly before suddenly hanging up on me. Pretty obvious scam if you ask me!!!

Just about an hour ago I flagged this number, and now it’s called me again claiming to be from some phone company wanting to talk to the bill payer about saving money. When I asked if it was BT, the person said no. Then, when I mentioned they’d already rung about an hour before, they replied they’d call back in an hour no matter what. They refused to accept me saying no, so I’ll have to switch on the answerphone since I’m waiting for a proper, important call. It’s really annoying.
