They mentioned they were from UK Choice, and shockingly, had my name, address, and landline to boot, and requested that I verify their information. I pressed for clarification on their intentions multiple times, but they maintained that they weren't trying to sell me anything and promised to refrain from calling me again, insisting that it would be a matter of mere seconds. They then inquired whether I rent or own my home, to which I responded that if they had such detailed information about me, they ought to already possess that knowledge. After that, the line went dead. This is the second time I've received a call within an hour, albeit from a different number (a mobile one this time). It definitely seems like a dodgy operation to me.

Got a call from some place like UK Unite or something along those lines. Wasn’t trying to sell anything, just wanted to ask about my info. Told them no and asked them to take me off their list. Then, about 15 minutes later, someone else from the same outfit rang me again. When I told them I’d already asked not to be contacted, they claimed it was another company. I didn’t buy it and when I kept pressing, they just ended the call. Now I’ve blocked the number.
