I received a call earlier today from some chaps with dodgy accents claiming to represent TalkTalk, BT, or Virgin - the usual suspects. Honestly, you’ve got two choices: either pretend you’re utterly baffled and have a bit of fun with them, or just hang up the phone.

So I got another call today and decided to mess around with them for a good 25 minutes. They even managed to get me on the 'Team Viewer' page on my browser. When he told me to download it, I just played along, acting like I did. Then he asked what I could see, so I said, "It says I'm being scammed by the person on the phone, ha!" He went quiet, said "What!!!" and then just hung up. I was just getting into it for a bit of fun! He tried asking which bank I use, but I lied before he could even ask for any details. Proper laugh!

Had a call again today and ended up stringing them along for like 25 minutes! They tried to get me to open ‘Team Viewer’ on my browser. So when they asked me to download it, I pretended to do it. Then when they wanted to know what was showing, I read out loud, “This is a scam call from the person on the phone lol”. The guy was like, “What?!” and then just hung up straight away. I was just getting into the fun part too. He asked which bank I used and I made up a name, never even got to give them any fake bank info! Too funny.

Today I got a call from this number claiming to be from Talk Talk. I told them I don't even use Talk Talk and suggested they get a proper job. After that, the bloke just hung up on me. Then the same number, 01785021403, rang me a couple more times and the guy told me to F### off. Quite rude if you ask me!

Got a call from someone claiming to be TALK TALK saying my internet was hacked or something. Then they said my account was compromised and tried to get my bank info to sort it out. Absolutely no chance, I knew it was bogus. What a nuisance!

This number’s been ringing me non stop the last few days. I’ve ignored it as it looked dodgy from the start. But after seeing what others have said, I’m thinking maybe I’ll pick up next time and have a laugh with whoever it is. Bit of fun messing about with these muppets sounds good to me.

Received a call from an Asian chap claiming to be from TalkTalk - definitely a scam artist. Don't waste your time; just put the phone down straight away. This number is being used by a gang of crooks!

At about 3 in the afternoon, I got a call from a woman with a strong foreign accent who was really hard to follow. She said she was calling from TalkTalk and warned that my internet would be disconnected because of a hacker problem. Then she told me to just hang up, but immediately called back saying it was urgent. I told her I'd listen when she spoke clearly, but till then, she might as well disconnect me. Later on, I found this site and read through the reviews - cheers to everyone for sharing their experiences!

Got a call from this number today, some bloke pretending to be from TalkTalk, saying my internet was compromised. I’ve dealt with this scam before and almost fell for it, but thankfully spotted it was a load of rubbish. Honestly, they should just get proper jobs instead of hassling folks like this.

Got calls from 01258795214 claiming to be TalkTalk or BT - total con artists! They rang me three times within ten minutes. It's high time someone cracked down on these scammers. I’m not having any politeness with these muppets. Don’t hand over any of your details, just mess about with them and then end the call after winding them up for as long as you can. Absolute clowns!

Got a call from this number at about 9:43am today. The person said my internet was gonna be cut off for two weeks because supposedly I'd been hacked. They quickly added they weren’t from BT and told me to stop using the line. I told them I had their number and that I’d report it to the police. Then she just hung up on me. Why do these scammers keep getting away with it? Someone really needs to put a stop to this rubbish.

I got a call from this number yesterday while I was in the garden, but I missed it and they didn’t leave a voicemail, so I had no clue who it was until I saw this. Also, I got another call from a different unknown number at 8:05am the same day. All I could hear was a recorded voice saying “Goodbye.” Honestly, I don’t know what’s going on with those calls. This kind of thing has happened to me a few times before.

I received a rather suspicious call from a woman named 'Jenny' claiming to be from BT Manchester. However, it was evident she was overseas due to a noticeable time lag when she answered the phone. She insisted that my internet was under attack by some foreign entity and that they needed to disconnect it for a staggering 20 days! She even asked me to check my router and report back on the number of lights that were illuminated, which I refrained from doing. When I pressed her on why she was representing BT, given that it wasn’t even my internet provider, she abruptly hung up. Quite the dodgy encounter!

Got calls twice today (27/4/17) and three times the day before, supposedly from Talk Talk (four of the calls) and BT (one call). They claimed my email was going to be shut down because it’d apparently been hacked - but I don’t even have Talk Talk! I played along for a bit, pretending to tap buttons as they told me. Then I told them my computer had warned me with the message ‘Watch out for these bloody Asian scam calls.’ I finished by telling them to ‘buzz off somewhere else.’ Normally I don’t swear but with these lot, I just can’t be polite.

Some bloke called up saying there’s a problem with my internet, which is right to be fair. I did swap the microfilter not long ago and it seemed to improve things, but the router still drops out now and then. I tried to ask the guy, who sounded Asian, about it but he didn’t seem to want to help much. He even got a bit annoyed with me.

Some bloke rang me sayin he was from BT and that they had to cut my internet off for two weeks. I thought I’d humour him for about ten minutes since I had nothing better to do, then told him to shove it. He started telling me to F off like ten times, which I found a bit amusing, so I replied back even nastier. I received a rather curious phone call from someone with an Asian accent who said they were representing Virgin Media. They tried to convince me that my router had been compromised by Russian hackers who had installed malware on my machine and were misusing my IP address for all sorts of cyber mischief. Quite alarming, to say the least!

They are shockingly bad at what they do, couldn’t even scam a toddler. Their English is absolutely rubbish, honestly it’s hard to believe. I’ve had around eight calls from these scammers but I’ve never fallen for it.

I had a call from someone who sounded of Asian origin, their English was a bit dodgy, claiming to represent TalkTalk. They threatened to cut off my internet connection for a whopping 21 days! I decided to have a bit of fun and bombarded him with questions for a while, but eventually, he just hung up on me. This isn’t the first time I’ve received such a call from a similar number; the scam storyline is always the same. These pesky calls can be really bothersome, but they could pose a risk to those who aren’t in the know.
