Honestly, I can see how older folks might find that kind of thing really worrying. It’s baffling that these scammers keep getting away with it for ages without getting stopped.

Got a call at 9:53 this morning from a woman with an American accent playing some recorded message about my internet being cut off. Didn't bother hearing the rest of that nonsense and just hung up. How come these scam calls still get through when I'm signed up to the phone preference service? Surely someone should sort this mess out?

Got a call from 02158748563 at about 9.24 this morning saying my IP address was at risk and to press 1 to get connected to a tech expert. It’s the second occasion this has happened. The initial time caught me off guard and I ended up pressing 1. Then an Indian woman asked for my laptop's IP address.

Some lady with an accent I couldnt place called me, saying my internet was acting up and offered to sort it out for me.

About four hours back I got a call with a recorded voice telling me they'd been trying to reach me for days. They said I supposedly needed a new IP address or my internet would be cut off within a day or two. They asked me to press 1 to talk to a technician. I just hung up. This is the third time I’ve had one of these calls pop up in the past couple of days.

I got a call from an 021 number, they just hear the voicemail and then end the call. Definitely another scam trying to run. Honestly, I’ve started blocking every 021 number I get because they’re all dodgy telemarketers or scammers. Stay clear of those!
