Got a call from someone claiming they'd slash prices by half on the latest iPhone. Thought I'd have a bit of fun and fed them some totally made-up details.

My lad answered a call from these wretched con artists. They requested to chat with me and mentioned my name as if they knew me. The caller tempted me with a cheeky 40% off my existing plan with O2. Shame, really, since I don’t even use O2!

Someone named Aman rang up asking if I could lend him some cash.

Someone rang me pretending to be from O2, saying I could get 30% off my bill. Then, I got a text that looked like it came from O2 asking for a code. Do NOT share that code with them, cause they’ll be able to get into your personal info! Luckily, I spotted the scam early, hung up straight away and told the O2 fraud team about it.
