Frankly, I suspect it’s a dodgy call centre operation, likely based in India, perhaps even Kolkata, masquerading with a UK phone number. They attempted to send me a link via text message to obtain access to my device, which raised all sorts of red flags. Please don’t be taken in by this! Keep in mind that reputable companies like O2 usually won't reach out in such a direct manner. Be vigilant!
