The gentleman, who introduced himself as Mark, informed her that she was allegedly signed up to a direct debit for a BT service and claimed he could reduce her monthly payments significantly. When he proceeded to request her bank details, she felt uneasy and mentioned that she didn’t have that information readily available. To her surprise, he then handed her off to a colleague named Brad, who insisted on staying on the line whilst she searched for her banking information. Thankfully, my mother decided to hang up, but within a mere two minutes, Brad was calling back, once again pressing her for the same bank details.
