3 yearsHad a call from a recorded voice saying it was Mastercard, and they even knew the exact amount I paid on my credit card yesterday to an electrical firm. Then they wanted me to press 1 to confirm my details, but I didn't and just hung up. I checked the 0208 number here and saw it was dodgy, so I reported it to my credit card provider and also to the electrician who took the payment using a SumUp device. Looks like someone might have hacked them and these scammers are trying to get more info. Watch out for this!Mastercard7 yearsHonestly, people need to start reporting this guy! (he runs a business) These types have got to be stopped. I don’t know how much longer I can put up with it.7 yearsJust to clear things up - I’m the actual owner of this business. Could you do me a favour and report if anyone’s ringing you from that number and doing something weird? It’s definitely not me, Mellll, the real owner. Also, please don’t call me again - I’ve been getting non-stop calls for the past three days from people who keep contacting me. It’s driving me mad!7 yearsTotally agree with what was said before. I actually run the dry cleaning business from Kent and I'm the genuine owner of this number. It's shocking that BT and the fraud squad want me to handle countless calls from elderly and vulnerable folks who keep ringing back. Some have even told me they were asked for their credit card info, which is just not on! I’m stuck having to pick up every call because it's my business phone. Please make sure you report this to the fraud police.KentBT7 yearsI told him I'd report him to the police, then he just hung up on me. What's worse, he called me again afterwards and dared me to go ahead and make the report.7 yearsSounds like scammers to me - if they’d really managed to hack a gov department’s phone, I’d expect something to be done about it by now. Does the UK even have proper cyber security? And what about our elderly or those who aren’t tech-savvy? Best to report anything suspicious to the fraud team - if loads of people complain, maybe then they’ll dig into it.UK7 yearsGot a call from someone saying they’re with “UK Views” doing a survey. Told them I’m not interested and to please not ring me again. Definitely not falling for any survey nonsense now or later!UK Views7 yearsGot a few calls from this number but didn’t pick up ‘cos I didn’t know who it was.7 yearsGot a call just a short while back from an unfamiliar number, so I didn’t pick up. Pretty sure it was just another one of those scam calls.7 yearsCheck out what the owner said down below! I definitely wouldn’t recommend ringing this number again!8 yearsWhenever I get calls, nobody ever shares their name with my callguardian - I reckon real callers would do that. so its most likely just another scam attempt.Submit Your Own Report (020 8777 5512)
