Received a call from a number claiming to be conducting "market research for the revenue office." They asserted it was a business line, but that wasn't the case. Unfortunately, our VoIP phone is the only option at this time. We let them know it was a commercial line and declined to answer their questions. Yet, to our annoyance, they resumed calling us the week after. We reckon that if you clarify it's a business line, they might just stop bothering you. Worth a shot, I suppose!

Our logistics driver received a call from some individuals claiming to be with HMRC, of all things, at a rather absurd hour of 8:57 in the evening! They insisted that we hadn’t collected some correspondence from Revenue & Customs. Quite amusing, really, because HMRC has flagged this as a scam that dates all the way back to 7th August 2008. How bizarre!

I received a call from our driver for the logistics company, claiming that some folks were posing as HMRC at nearly 9pm - how ridiculous! They mentioned that we hadn’t collected some correspondence from Revenue & Customs. It seems the HMRC has flagged this as a scam that originally kicked off back on August 7, 2008. What a farcical situation!

I keep getting these so-called 'market research' calls at home, no matter how many times I've asked them to stop. I've put my number on the TPS list, yet it seems to make no difference because they just randomly ring numbers. Coincidentally, it's rather odd that they manage to dial mine ten times a month! It’s absolutely ludicrous and has got to the stage where I'm beginning to dread answering the phone. Honestly, it's becoming quite an invasion of my right to enjoy a peaceful life!

Had a right nuisance from some clueless marketing agency, didn’t I? They’d been ringing me like a mad thing, five calls in total, and never bothered to leave a single message. On the sixth ring, I just told them to hang on a tick, put the phone on charge, and took my dogs out for a proper stroll. Fingers crossed it’ll rack up a bit of a bill for them!

Received a call from someone claiming they were conducting market research for the Internal Revenue Service. They asked for the business number, which was a bit odd since it seems that's the only place we can currently use our VoIP phone. We told them no and declined to answer any further questions, yet they’ve started calling us again this week. It’s our impression that if you mention this sort of conduct, they may just stop bothering you. It’s probably worth giving it a shot.
