Just got a call from TNS, they’re running some kind of survey for Sport England. It feels pretty official and seems aimed at making community sports better. I did the survey myself and had a quick look on the Sport England website to make sure it wasn’t dodgy. If you could spare just 7 minutes to answer a quick survey, it really helps someone hit their goal - and sometimes even earn a little extra bonus. That extra cash might mean they get to spend a lovely evening with friends, treat themselves to a nice outing, or maybe surprise their child with a special gift. I get that we’re all busy and get interrupted a lot, but please think twice before hanging up abruptly or slamming the phone down (it's not great for our ears either!). A bit of kindness goes a long way.

We don’t purchase or share the numbers at all, we just pick a random area code and then guess the last six digits. So sometimes you’ll get fax machines, companies, or even numbers that are ex directory (which honestly doesn’t really mean much). Because we’re not trying to sell or market anything, we’re not covered by the Telephone Preference Service - basically, it doesn’t protect against us. The survey answers we gather aren’t used for any business or sales stuff either.

Had a chat with an operator called Thuy On who told me to keep her name as a reference. She said they'll block my number on their end and won’t pass it on to others. I kept getting calls from this number saying they were carrying out some kind of government survey and wanted to chat with my fourteen year old lad. They kept ringing non-stop from about 4 in the afternoon until 9 at night, asking for him over and over. Eventually, I told the bloke on the phone, "He's only 14, what are you, some sort of creep?" and he just hung up. Hopefully, they won’t be bothering us again now.

I'm ringing them back just to bug them like they do to us ;o) WPP owns loads of companies like TNS, and honestly, they're a bunch of annoying A**holes who keep calling even after you clearly say no.
