I got a phone call from the number mentioned, claiming to conduct a survey about sports. However, the questions they posed were utterly nonsensical and irrelevant. To top it off, I’m on Disability Living Allowance due to my health complications, and coincidentally, I received a letter today challenging my eligibility for that very benefit. It appears there's a connection. It honestly seems like a government ploy to ensnare people and glean information that could be used against them. It’s quite disheartening to witness such tactics. Just a word of caution to everyone-stay vigilant! How low can they stoop?

Although we're not customers of BT, we've got ourselves a Panasonic phone that allows us to block certain numbers. If a blocked caller tries to ring, they end up with an unobtainable message. It's certainly something worth checking out!

Consequently, signing up for TPS feels like an exercise in futility, as it seems their so-called "authority" is worse than ineffective-by voicing a complaint, you're just handing even more intel to the scammers! This particular number has been ringing non-stop throughout the day and even on Sundays. Clearly, it’s a bunch of fraudsters. As I’m not a BT customer, I find myself powerless to block these intrusive calls.

The TPS can't stop scam calls. They only handle confirmed marketing calls (not scammy researchers) by giving your details to the company and kindly asking them to take you off their list. You have to tell them what the caller is selling first. Fake callers trying to steal info aren’t covered. So signing up with TPS is pointless, as their "authority" is basically useless, and complaining might just give scammers more info about you. This number rings me all day and well into the evening, even on Sundays. They’re fraudsters. Since I’m not with BT, I can't block these calls at all.

I had agreed to participate in the survey under the impression it would only involve a handful of questions, as the chap mentioned it was on behalf of the government. However, he then mentioned they required a comprehensive understanding of the household demographics and insisted on speaking to the other adult resident. When I explained that my husband was unavailable and suggested they could take my word for it, the caller insisted on calling back at a more convenient time to chat with him. At that point, I expressed my expectation of a brief conversation and declined the idea of them ringing back later, thus putting an end to the call. Honestly, what kind of survey necessitates speaking to every adult in the home? It all seemed a bit fishy to me, especially the way he hurried through his introduction. I think the company name was T and N Research or something to that effect.
