ins - for the 8th time since 23 jan 2015 ive told them no surveys its personal opinions, means personal data and i dont share that. ive reported them to the ico because even tho tps doesnt cover this, this site shows loads of people are really ‘pissed off’ with this firm. its about time cold calling laws covered surveys too, unless you agreed to give info. they find it funny, i dont.

Got a call asking for "the man of the household," and when I asked who it was, they said TNS doing a survey and that they wanted to speak to the man of the house. They never actually said the name, so I guess they had no clue who they were after. Told them I couldn’t help and said goodbye, then hung up. These days I almost never pick up the landline because it's usually stuff like this. I was a bit unsure about answering this one and wished I hadn't. From now on, I’ll just let the answerphone get it.

Yeah, like lots of others, it really makes you question what the TPS even does, and honestly, there really ought to be stricter laws. I’ve got a little hack though - if you’re not waiting for a call, pick up but don't say anything, then just chuck the phone in a drawer for a few hours. It racks up their costs, and if everyone tried that, it might slow down those automatic diallers. Maybe that’d be the end of it?

Got a call from some David Kylie saying he was ringing about a Government survey on NHS and other public services. He mentioned his company, TNS from Westgate Estate in Hanger Lane, using random number generators, so they reckoned TPS rules didn’t affect them. Got a call from this number earlier today. It looked like a London number, so I answered even though I didn’t know it. Said hello, but no response. Then I saw my caller ID switch to International. I tried to end the call but it stayed connected. If I hadn’t had the caller ID showing this change, I wouldn’t have realised the call had been redirected abroad. I ended up pulling the phone out of the socket. Honestly, this seems like a dodgy scam and I’d recommend blocking the number straight away.

Got a call from John James at TNS, he said he's doing some research for local govt or sumthing. Asked how many over 16s live here and wanted a chat - said it was something to do with random sampling or whatever, and tried to speak to my partner. Couldn't do it then. Bit weird tho, the convo ended but he didn’t just hang up right away, which felt a bit off.

this number calls almost every day at all sorts of times and the caller ID usually just says “incoming call” i once answered and the line just cut off straight away. now if i dont know the number i just ignore it and let them bother someone else. there needs to be a way to block these annoying calls, especially as they can be really scary or unsettling for older folks who rely on the phone to stay connected with loved ones. the phone companies should offer a way to block nuisance calls without us having to buy extra call blocking tools.

This number 0208 433 4479 keeps calling me all the time. They just don’t seem to take a hint and ring from early morning, like 7:30am, right through till 10pm. I've told them I’m not interested in the survey but they keep pestering me anyway. Honestly, they need to find something better to do with their time.

They ring me almost daily but at all sorts of random times, even tho it just goes to voicemail cos I’m not answering numbers I don’t know. I’m on the TPS list and I work from home so it’s even more annoying.
