I knew straight away it was a con since I don’t even use BT. So I pretended to follow his instructions on my laptop to waste his time. After a bit, I called him out on the scam. That’s when he lost it, started cussing like crazy, and then just ended the call.

Got a call from someone saying they were with BT, insisting BT provides internet across the entire UK. On 27th Nov 2018, I got a call from 020 8133 4587. A woman left a voicemail saying she was from HMRC and was looking into some tax fraud stuff. The call came through to my dad’s place - he’s 80 and they never even asked for him by name. Fingers crossed these kinds of scammers get nailed, especially with today’s tech.
