Many calls involve repeated harassment, with offenders calling back multiple times even after refusal. Voicemails and silent calls with automated “goodbye” messages are common. Got a call from Energy Direct the other day, acting like they were my usual energy provider. Totally misleading, trying to pass themselves off as the company I already use. Be careful, they’re definitely not who they claim to be!

Wouldn't trust them at all. Got a call from an Asian guy on a different number (01315634784), left a message saying to ring back on 02081443803 and ask for Steve. Supposedly about some Parish Charity fundraiser we have going on. Thing is, we’ve got no charity event planned. I’m sure if they call again, it’s gonna be a request for cash.

Absolutely, they're nothing but fraudsters! These persistent calls keep coming from a call centre in India. I had to escalate the matter to the Telephone Preference Service (TPS) to put a stop to it. If you're dealing with similar issues, I strongly recommend filing a complaint with them at https://www.tpsonline.org.uk/complaint. They’re also involved in a despicable Microsoft scam, trying to siphon funds from our bank accounts. It’s appalling how they target vulnerable elderly individuals, particularly those involved with charities. We ought to join forces and raise our voices to the relevant authorities about this egregious behaviour!

As soon as I picked up, I could tell it was one of those call centre calls, so I hung up straight away. Then a woman rang back and started calling me some sort of #### Asian name, sounded totally like a scam to me. Best to stay away from these numbers.

Someone rang pretending to be from a Microsoft Survey Centre saying my computer was hacked. I ended the call straight away, but they kept ringing back nonstop. They were really pushy, asking why I’d hung up and tried to block their number. The person was super rude, yelling at me and calling me daft when I said I didn’t buy their story. They even shouted I wouldn’t be able to use my PC anymore, then hung up only to call back again and again. In the end, I had to put my phone on silent mode just to stop it ringing all the time!

I've received six calls from this number, despite telling them I'm not keen on their services. They claimed to be representing Windows, yet they wouldn't take the hint and kept ringing me. I picked up twice but hung up immediately afterwards. In the end, I had no choice but to block the number entirely. It's honestly quite bothersome!

Got a really pushy and impolite call about some issue with Windows on my PC. It somehow got through my phone's caller ID blocker that usually announces calls. I ended the call, but he rang back with the same rude attitude. I hung up again and when he called a third time, I just blocked the number.

I received a rather unpleasant and confrontational phone call regarding an issue with my Windows system. It managed to get through my call blocker, which was quite surprising. After I terminated the call, he rang me back with the same abrupt and disrespectful tone. I hung up once again, but to my annoyance, he tried contacting me yet again, so I’ve finally decided to block the number.

My elderly mother has been plagued by this caller, who incessantly bombards her with phone calls. It's utterly infuriating! She doesn’t own a computer, yet he insisted she did, refusing to accept her repeated assurances. His behaviour was appalling; he even threatened to involve the police for apparently 'deceiving' him. Truly unacceptable conduct!

The charity this dodgy number keeps ringing pretending to be should really be careful. Scammers often fake legit charity phone numbers to trick folks into sending money straight to them. It’s a good idea to put a warning on your site telling people to only donate through the official website and use gift aid. Don’t ever give info to unknown callers or agree to anything on the spot. And definitely don’t hand over your bank details to those muppets.

Got a voicemail from some Asian energy scammer telling me to ring 01416286639, which I found out is a known scam number. Looks like they're going after charities or something. I've blocked the number now. We never handle things over the phone anyway, so they're just wasting all our time.

Our charity phone has been getting loads of calls from folks with Asian accents claiming they can sort out our money troubles. I told em to quit ringing us but they just don’t listen. They even left a voicemail telling us to ring them back on a totally different number than the one they called from.

Someone with what sounded like an asian accent rang up our charity claiming to be from the energy company wanting to talk about renewals. They asked for our treasurer! We dont have one, we have a finance team, and even if we had a treasurer, they wouldnt handle energy contracts. They kept pushing for another name or a personal email addy. I just gave them vague info from our website and they got all annoyed. Definitely unprofessional and just fishing for a contact name to try one of those current scams where they want to be put straight through. Total phishing attempt and it didnt work!

Got a call from an Asian guy claiming to be from a utility firm, said they needed info to update our contracts. I kindly told him to take our info off and that we weren't interested. He kept insisting he could assist us. I asked once more for him to delete our number, and he promised he would.

Had a phone call from a woman with an Asian accent, said she was from Microsoft Windows. I accidentally let it through Call Guard. She told me my computer was hacked, but I said no thanks, wasn’t expecting a call and don’t talk to random callers. She got pushy, so I said I’m hanging up and did. She rang back straight away, so I looked up the number here and blocked it. Really glad this site exists! Please report these numbers, especially as older folks (like my late mother-in-law) can easily fall for it. Seems like these scam calls are on the rise again.

Got a call from a woman saying there was a problem with my PC. I said it was nonsense and hung up. She rang back, sounding quite annoyed, so I told her not to call again. She phoned once more, and I told her her calls were useless before hanging up again. When she called a fourth time, I simply didn’t pick up. Why do we have to tolerate these calls? The number was 02081 443803.

I got a call from a woman with an Asian accent claiming she was from Microsoft and that my PC was compromised. While she was talking, I Googled the number and found out it’s definitely a scam. I told her I’d checked and she shouldn’t call back, then I hung up. A few minutes later, the same number rang again. Looks like they don’t give up when you say no, just like others have mentioned. Really frustrating!

Got a call from a woman with an Asian accent claiming to be from Microsoft. She said there was a problem with my PC and asked if she could access it remotely. I instantly guessed it was a scam and told her I was hanging up. She tried calling me back straight away, but I didn’t pick up. This has happened for the past three days on the trot, so I’ve just blocked the number now, waiting for them to use a different one next time. Hope not too many people fall for this trick.

Somebody rang saying they were from Windows saying my computer was hacked - problem is, I don’t even use Windows. I told her to piss off and ended the call. They called me back 4 times altogether, and the last time the woman threatened to block me and keep the line open. I just switched off my phone and wifi after that! I’ve reported the number and call on the Action Fraud site here in the UK - reckon you should do the same.

It’s best to report rather than just block. If more people that checked this number here actually reported it, maybe something would’ve been done by now. Just google ‘action fraud’ and visit the UK police website. Head over to the phishing report section and scroll down till you see the form - it’s quick to fill out. Also, have a look at the news and info pages on that site, they’re pretty useful.

On the 14th of October 2022, we received multiple phone calls from a woman with an Asian accent. She was extremely persistent and even raised her voice during the conversation. Her claim was related to computer insecurities regarding Windows or MS Word. It was quite evident that this was a scam, especially considering our strong experience in this field and the fact that our machines are well protected. The actions of these scammers should be considered illegal and monitored more diligently, with heavy fines imposed on those responsible. -DW from Bristol

She had the audacity to call me a “clueless idiot” and threatened that I’d end up losing thousands of pounds. The only way I could put an end to her incessant nagging was by yanking the phone out of the socket. Honestly, I’m not in the best of health, and this was the last thing I needed.

I've received a staggering four back-to-back calls from this number. An Asian woman, perhaps of Chinese descent, was adamant that she was calling from Microsoft, claiming my computer had been compromised. She was quite forceful and persistent, demanding remote access to 'resolve' the issue. Even after I ignored her calls, she continued to ring me, not taking no for an answer.
