I keep getting nonstop calls from some scammy people based out of an Indian call centre, and it’s driving me mad! Eventually, I had to sign up with the TPS just to make the calls stop. You can also file a complaint on the TPS website here: https://www.tpsonline.org.uk/complaint. They’re pretending to be from Microsoft trying to steal cash from your bank account. Worst part is, they’re even going after elderly folks and charities. Honestly, we need to report them to the proper authorities before they fool anyone else.

The charity this dodgy number keeps ringing pretending to be should really be careful. Scammers often fake legit charity phone numbers to trick folks into sending money straight to them. It’s a good idea to put a warning on your site telling people to only donate through the official website and use gift aid. Don’t ever give info to unknown callers or agree to anything on the spot. And definitely don’t hand over your bank details to those muppets.

020 8144 3803 Got some call about my Windows PC being infected or hacked or something alike. Not sure if it's the exact same scam or just someone copying them. Anyway, I just blocked the number.

Got a call from an Indian lady claiming my computer had a problem. Knew right away it was dodgy. Told her off pretty firmly to buzz off. She tried to scare me by saying she'd shut down the computer, but I just hung up. Later checked the number online and wasn’t shocked to see heaps of others warning about this scam.

It’s best to report rather than just block. If more people that checked this number here actually reported it, maybe something would’ve been done by now. Just google ‘action fraud’ and visit the UK police website. Head over to the phishing report section and scroll down till you see the form - it’s quick to fill out. Also, have a look at the news and info pages on that site, they’re pretty useful.

Got a call from John, said he was from Windows. Proper pushy bloke. He rang me last week, I told him I wasn’t daft enough to fall for his spiel and just ended the call. Woke up to quite a few missed calls from him this morning too.

Had a lady from India call me about some computer issue, I told her I dont own one and she called me a liar! I asked her to take my number off her list and told her I was ending the call. She rang back 4 more times, being really pushy and trying to intimidate me. Such rude and agressive behaviour. I hung up the last call but she called again so I just let it ring out (I turned off my answerphone coz of all these annoying calls). Felt like a real invasion of privacy and a nasty situation overall.

On the 14th October 2022, I got several calls, at least five, from a lady speaking with an Asian accent. She was quite pushy and even raised her voice. She claimed the call was about some security issues with our Windows or MS Word software. It was obviously a scam, especially since I’m pretty clued up about tech and our computers are well secured. Some woman kept ringing me non-stop, like every couple of minutes, just ‘cause I refused to hand over my bank info. She was saying my computer got hacked and my bank was at risk, then started calling me names like “stupid” and said I’d lose thousands. It was so stressful, especially as I’m not well right now. She only stopped when I finally yanked the phone out. Proper nightmare.
