Some bloke kept ringing my mum, pestering her about having a PC under her husband's name - which she doesn’t. I took the phone off her, kept picking up and hanging up after a few seconds until he finally gave up (I'm pretty stubborn and would've kept at it all day). I contacted Vodafone, like someone suggested, and they said for nuisance calls you have to report it online - which I’m about to do. I ignored the calls but he left a voicemail that was pretty intimidating. He claimed he knows things about me, even said I have a criminal record - which is totally untrue! I’m a 77-year-old lady and I’m feeling quite distressed about this. Does anyone know who I should report this to? He keeps saying he’s from Microsoft.

Somebody rang me saying it was about my computer. Like I usually do with these fake calls, I just hung up straight away. Usually that stops them, but this person kept calling back like 10 times in a row, so I ended up having to unplug my phone to get some peace.

These lot are relentless. Got a call from a London number, but as we don’t know anyone from that area, I just ignored it. They called back 4 times in under 5 minutes! Had a quick search online and found out they’re just some computer scammers. Best not to pick up at all.

Some bloke rang me saying there was something wrong with my computer. I told him to jog on straight away, knowing it was a scam, and ended the call. Then he called back like six times. I tried ignoring and hanging up every time. On his seventh call, I picked up again and he started calling me stupid and even accused me of being some kind of criminal for not taking him seriously. I told him I'd done my homework and found out he was a dodgy scammer from the number.

I answered the phone and the caller claimed they were calling from some Windows place in Oregon. I told them I wasn’t interested and hung up straight away. Not long after, they called me back and started shouting at me with a heavy Asian accent, getting angry just because I’m English.

I got a pretty sketchy call from a man claiming to be from Windows. He said they’d found hackers trying to break into my computer and told me I needed to check some warnings on my screen. I wasn’t buying it, so I just hung up. But then he called back a few minutes later, left a message, and tried to convince me it was serious. Still, I said I wasn’t near my PC and ended the call again. After that, he sent another message, sounding quite annoyed like I’d insulted him or something. I tried calling the number back but he’d said something about it not being reachable because it was coming through a Windows server or whatever that means. Be careful with these dodgy calls!

Got a call from an Asian guy who knew my name and said he was interested in my computer. I ended the call but he rang me back straight away, two times! Really aggressive and hostile language, and I caught it all on my voicemail now!

Computer scam alert: really pushy and a bit rude. They spoke English with an accent, maybe Asian. First ring: "Mr ******?" I asked what the call was about, they said my computer, so I just hung up. Then they called straight back. Second time I answered, said "Why did you hang up?" I told them they were just scammers and pranksters, told them not to call again, then hung up. But no surprise, they rang from the same number again right after. Picked up but just left the phone on a shelf and walked off. They ended the call after about 4 minutes.

Computer scam, really annoying and pushy. Had an accent, sounded Asian maybe, called my landline. First call: “Mr *******?” “What’s this about?” “Your computer.” I just hung up. They called again straight away. Second call: “Why you hang up?” “Cause you’re a scammer, stop calling me.” Hung up again. Third call: rang straight back once more. I answered, put the phone down, walked off. They finally hung up about 4 minutes later.

I kept getting calls about an issue with my computer’s windows. If I didn’t pick up, the phone would just ring off and then start ringing again almost straight away. Eventually, the person on the other end got pretty hostile, even threatening to send people to my house - which, scarily, they seemed to know the address for.

They said everything I needed to verify was on my PC and that they’d help me step by step. Turns out hackers were using my computer to scam people with my name.
