I had a rather dubious phone call the other day from the number 1102998053466. An individual with an Indian accent claimed to be from BT and insisted that my IP address had been compromised. She wanted to gain access to my computer via Teamviewer to rectify the supposed issue. When I inquired for a contact number, she provided 02081440409 for me to ring back. Honestly, best to steer clear of such calls; they're simply trying to get into your system to filch your private details.

I had a rather bizarre experience with a phone call claiming to be from BT. The individual at the other end stated my IP address had been compromised, which struck me as rather odd. The caller had a thick Indian accent, and I decided to grill them a bit. When I requested a number I could ring back on, they provided me with an 0208 number, which I found puzzling as I expected a proper non-geographical one. To add to the peculiar situation, the lady then summoned a "manager" who came across as quite shifty. That was enough for me; I promptly ended the call.

Just received a ring from this number, and to be honest, I struggled to make sense of what they were saying. I told them I found their call a bit suspect and promised to ring back after confirming it was a legitimate BT line. After doing a bit of research on this site, I’d advise caution. Don’t share any personal info, but if you do happen to get a call, trust your instincts; the background din alone will clue you in that it’s not a reliable source.

I've just had a couple of those calls mentioned earlier - definitely not from a BT representative, so take heed!

I received a call from this number, with someone purporting to be from British Telecom’s fraud prevention team, oddly using a name that sounded very much English. They were probing for my IP address and pressuring me to enhance my computer security. Definitely a scam, so beware!

I got a rather suspicious call from someone named "Stephen" who had a distinctive Indian accent, claiming to be from the BT Tech Support team. He informed me that my computer had been compromised. He mentioned he was calling from Newgate Street in London, and when I requested his contact number, he provided 02081440409 and encouraged me to ring him back. I attempted to call back after a 20-minute wait, but all I got was ringing with no answer.

I must say, having this site is incredibly helpful-cheers to you for creating it!

I had a rather dubious call earlier, where the person on the other end claimed to be from BT. They went on about how our computer had been compromised. Naturally, I decided to get in touch with BT directly, and they confirmed that the number was definitely a scam and not to be taken seriously. The caller's English was quite poor, making it challenging to follow what they were saying, and their tone was anything but professional. Whatever you do, don’t share any personal information with these chancers!

I received a phone call from someone claiming to represent BT, insisting that my account had been compromised and that I must enhance my security. I was led to believe that I had to follow their steps, which resulted in TeamViewer being installed on my laptop. They assured me it was simply for the purpose of synchronising my accounts. We so-called 'secured' my personal email and eBay, and then they brought up my banking details! They wanted me to access my online banking, but I firmly declined. I noted down the number they called from and said I’d ring them back later. After that, I reached out to BT directly, only to discover that they hadn’t made any such call to me at all. They certainly sounded credible, so I urge everyone to be on high alert regarding this sort of scam!
