Got a call on behalf of my elderly mum, telling her she'd get £2700 in PPI claims if she coughs up £270 for some UK government certificates. Can't wait for them to show up at her place this evening - I might just have the old bill ready for them!

Got a ring from some bloke with an Asian accent about a PPI refund for £2800. He said something about needing my consent to take off £280 as a processing charge. He claimed his name was Sean Williams and that he worked at the City County Court of London. I told him I wasn’t daft and honestly, he must be pretty thick if he reckons anyone’s going to believe his con...

Do not trust or pick up when this number calls, its a total scam. They claim to be from Australia but honestly the accent sounds very Indian to me. I’m warning everyone to be cautious and definitely report them, these scammers target folks who might not notice the red flags and end up getting robbed. Stay safe out there!

Typical story really. Got a call from a bloke with an Indian accent who already knew my name, where I live and even my wife's name. He told me I was owed around £2800 in PPI but had to send £280 worth of vouchers first. Luckily, I was with a mate who's a solicitor and as soon as I handed the phone over, they hung up sharpish.

Got a call from this number on my mobile, with someone claiming to be from the Despatch Department of the City of London Court. They asked me to ring them back. The person sounded like they had a really thick foreign accent.

They ring you up saying you've got £2700 in PPI refunds but then want you to cough up £270 in UK cash vouchers within 5 days, claiming it’s some kind of government tax. Never had a clue about these people before. I’d honestly just block any calls coming from these numbers, it’s just a load of scammers trying to pull a fast one.

Received a voicemail claiming to be from the London Court about a £2,800 PPI claim. They want me to ring them back but I’m not having any of it. It’s definitely a scam, so my advice is if you get a call like this just block and ignore it. These dodgy firms only get away with it because people waste their time with them.

Got a call from some so-called despatch team from the City County Court in London, claiming I was due £2810 for mis-sold PPI related to Alliance & Leicester. They asked me to buy £281 worth of ucash vouchers first. After I told them I’d bought the vouchers, they promised to send a cheque for the full amount but then wanted to pick up the vouchers once the cheque cleared. It all seemed really fishy. When I searched online, all I found were lists of PPI scams that followed exactly this kind of trickery.

Weird phone call just now, some bloke saying they’ve got a cheque for me linked to people on my NatWest loan. Thing is, I’ve never taken out a loan with NatWest in my life. Total nonsense, if you ask me.

I got a call at work from someone who already knew my name and some stuff about a loan I supposedly had. They said I was owed a PPI refund, but that’s just not right. I’ve never made any claim or anything like that. Definitely a scam, so best to just ignore it and not pick up.
