I gave them a bell this morning about some problems I was having with my printer. They assured me they could sort everything out from afar, acting as if they were actually from Canon’s customer service.

Got a text saying "M&S CREDITCARD: OTP 834232 To Paddypower.co.uk. If this wasn't you, ring 02081330857." I never asked for any code or tried to buy anything on PaddyPower. Definitely looks like a scam to me.

This caller said they were from Canon support and claimed they could fix my printer problems by accessing my computer if I shared my login info. Definitely avoid them no matter what.

Scammer for sure!

I got an email that seemed like a dodgy invoice claiming I owed for a Norton subscription. I rang the number on it to ask about it, and the guy insisted I needed to be at my computer to complete some cancellation paperwork. That’s when I told him I thought it was a scam, and he quickly ended the call saying goodbye. Just a heads up to watch out for these sorts of things - I’ve sent the email over to Norton for them to check out.

I got a weird email saying I’d bought Norton 360, but I never did. They wanted me to ring a number to cancel the order. I just sent that email onto [email protected] instead.
