However, once you've filled it out, they claim you’ve made an error and instead credited a whopping £7999.00! Then, they demand that you return the difference. This is clearly their ploy to access your funds. Naturally, he declined, but then they informed him that in order to have his details erased, he’d need to send over a photo ID and download two apps - one that granted them access to his phone and another that was a cryptocurrency wallet. Can you believe it? He actually entertained their requests! Eventually, the conversation became rather tedious and full of red flags, so he decided to hang up. Now, they’re incessantly ringing him again, and he hasn’t even dared to look at his bank account yet, feeling utterly foolish for sharing any info. I just hope they didn’t manage to snag all the data they were after, which might explain why they keep pestering him.
