Called for a sec then just cut off.

Claimed to be from O2 but cut the call as soon as I asked some questions.

Beware of these scammers, they’re really risky. Just end the call, block the number, and then report it by sending ‘Call’ plus the number to 7726.

I had a rather dodgy attempt on my O2 account recently. Some bloke was trying to pull a fast one and get me to hand over my details. He was after the one-time password he’d sent me, claiming it was for some miraculous reduction on my O2 bill. Thankfully, I kept my wits about me and didn’t give him a thing!

Another typical EE or O2 scam trying their luck. Honestly, this is getting old now.

Been getting loads of calls from dodgy numbers recently. Feels like there must've been some massive data breach at the phone providers but they’re keepin’ quiet about it.

Got another one today, two different numbers actually. I answered but no one said a word, you’d expect at least a hello or something real. Then they just hung up. Strange.

I keep blocking this number but they just ring back with a slightly different last digit each time. Really frustrating.

Everyday I get calls from these blokes in India saying they’re from O2, asking if I’ve “collected my free O2 sim.” I tell ‘em to buzz off, but they still ring me up everyday from different numbers. Anyone know how to make them stop???

Just a load of rubbish really.

Ended the call right away. Tried calling back but the number says it’s not in service. Definitely some kind of spam or scam. Best to steer clear.

A lady with a heavy Asian accent spoke really fast, making it hard to catch what she was saying. She claimed to be ringing from O2. I didn’t want to bother with a cold call so I just said I wasn’t interested and ended the call.

Someone claimed to be calling from O2 but wouldn’t share my address or postcode, and couldn’t even say what kind of contract I had or the cost. When my husband questioned him about scamming, he got really rude and shouty. We just ended the call and blocked the number. They also sent a text while we were talking, saying it was from O2.

Some bloke said he was from O2 and could slash 50% off my bill. Told him if he was legit he’d already know I dumped O2 ages ago ‘cause their service was rubbish. Then the fella just hung up on me when I said I couldn’t hear him over all the shouting in the background. Total waste of time.

Got a spam call on this number from someone claiming to be with O2, but you could hear an Indian woman talking in the background like a loud tannoy system. Definitely give them a miss and block the number, I'd say.

Got a call from an Indian bloke on a UK mobile saying he had a delivery. I hung up and blocked him straight away. Then a few minutes later, a UK landline rang me. The woman on the line had a very heavy Indian accent and said her name was Lisa from Carphone Warehouse. I blocked that number too, right away. Sounds like a scam, probably a bunch of scammers in the UK working as a team.

Got a dodgy call from someone claiming to be with O2, saying I’d missed my phone bill payment and owed an extra £156, threatening to disconnect my line if I didn’t pay up immediately. They asked for my personal and bank information. I told them I’m not even with O2 and just ended the call. Have blocked and reported the number now. Never share your details over the phone!

I’ve been getting nonstop calls from these numbers lately. I dont pick up, but I always check them here before blocking. The annoying thing is every time I block one, they ring back from a number that's almost the same but with the last digit different. Fingers crossed if I keep blocking, they’ll eventually give up?

Got a call from someone faking EE, claiming I could get 40% off my plan. They sent a text with a security code from EE to trick me into giving them access to my account and billing, all so they could empty my bank account! My advice: never share that code with them. Plus, keep them hanging on for ages to waste their time. Bonus points if you can make them shout or confuse them by asking for details they should know but clearly don’t.

SUPER REAL - They clearly got into my O2 account somehow - sounded really skilled - even knew my bank account and sort code. They texted me a password and said they’d give me a big discount on my bill, but first wanted to do a credit check and asked for my debit card details. That set off alarm bells - told them to ring me back the next day.

Answered the call, but no one said a word and then they just ended it. Feels like they’re trying to collect a list of actually active numbers by seeing who answers. I’d guess they then sell this info to whoever’s interested. Honestly, there’s not much you can do except just not bother answering unknown calls in the first place.
