Got a call from a number asking for someone I've never come across before, so I just blocked it straight away.

Today at 1:44pm, I got a ring from this number. The person on the line wanted to chat with my mum, even calling her by her full name. When I asked who he was, he mentioned some sort of survey linked to "One Housing", which happens to be my mum’s landlord. I told him no thanks and ended the call. I’m thinking I should alert One Housing since it sounds like their info might’ve been compromised.

Over the last couple of years, this number has shown up as HMRC, the Ministry of Defence, and even the DWP! Today, it claimed to be the Department for Education. I find it hard to believe the government would use just one 020 number for all these departments. Seems a bit fishy. I’d say better off blocking it altogether.

Someone saying they were from DWP called and wanted to talk to the director. I said they were not in as they were ill and asked if they could ring back in 30 mins. They said she wouldn’t be any better in that time. Then I just ended the call and blocked the number.

Got a call from someone who already knew my name, said she was conducting a university survey. Bit odd ringing me up at night like that. She was asking if I’d had different jobs and other stuff. Felt a bit off. After a while, I told her I didn’t have time and she kept saying to call back later. I asked her where she got my number from and who told her to call me, but she wouldn’t say. So I told her I was ending the call then and there.
