I got a call from this number early morning, about 9 am on the 15th of January 2020. The guy, Tom, claimed their files indicate I hadn’t had my loft insulation inspected, which apparently might be behind some condensation issues. He said someone could pop by this afternoon to have a look. He made it sound like he was part of some government-run organisation, but I wasn’t convinced and said no thanks.

They asked if the owner was between 76 and 86 years old or older, which felt like a sketchy way to figure out when the house might be empty. They told me a manager would ring back in 15 minutes, but of course, that never happened. When I tried calling the number back, it wasn’t recognised. Definitely a dodgy scam, in my opinion.
