I'm pretty sure it's fake, they asked me for my bank info. The number was 0208 0402 672 and they said they were from BT. They told me they wanted to help with some hackers trying to steal personal data. Felt dodgy to me.

My nan got a call from this number yesterday, saying she might qualify for some sort of Medical PIN. Luckily, she's sharp and told them she already had one, so they just ended the call. It’s worrying though, someone less cautious could easily end up sharing private info.

Got a call on 10/02/2020 about possibly lowering the cost of my HomeServe plumbing and drainage cover. I actually do have that policy with them, and they sounded like they already had my bank info, asking me to verify it for a new direct debit setup. I said I wasn’t happy giving that out on the phone and would prefer to see the updated policy papers first. So far, no paperwork has appeared. A bit uneasy since it seems they already hold my current account details, I’ll be keeping a close eye on my direct debits and watch out for anything suspicious.

Got a call at 15:34 on 6/2/20 from a young bloke calling himself Stuart, claiming to be from Home Serve Kitchen Appliance Company. He said something about a renewal for cover on appliances we supposedly had. I politely explained there’s nothing here that needs that kind of insurance, so he must have the wrong place. Right after, he let out a annoyed "humph" and just hung up sharpish. Felt a bit off, to be honest.

Got a call from someone pretending to be from ‘HomeSure’ trying to convince me they could cut down the cost on my appliances insurance. They wanted me to speak to another person to "verify" info, which I’m pretty sure was just a trick to get my bank details. I hung up right away. Definitely felt dodgy to me - no decent firm would just hang up like that.

I got a call from 02080402672 about updating my drainage and plumbing cover. Some bloke with an English accent gave his name and extension but then I started hearing some sort of automated message and that made me wary, so I just ended the call.

They rang me again today, for the second time. I’d already made it clear I don’t have any carpets in my home, so I’m not interested in carpet cleaning. But nope, they just didn’t seem to get it and called me back a couple of hours later... seriously?!
