I got back home to see I’d missed a call on my landline. I tried calling the number back from my mobile with my number hidden, but some message came up saying it was the wrong number. I’m signed up to the TPS and my number’s unlisted, so how on earth did they get it? A couple weeks ago, I got a call from a similar number claiming there was suspicious activity on my bank account. When I asked who they were, they went quiet, so I gave them a right telling off!

Then he said someone would come round today to check it out. I wasn’t convinced and kept him chatting, asking exactly who he was. He awkwardly claimed to be from some UK energy advice organisation or something like that. Told him he was having a laugh and he just hung up on me!
