I answered by mistake, stayed quiet, they didn’t say a word either and just ended the call. Definitely seemed like a scam of some kind.

Got a call from some marketing firm claiming to offer a “free survey” about government grants for loft insulation, saying it might be causing damp problems. They wouldn’t clearly say how they were linked to the energy supplier I got the grant from. When I asked them to explain, they just cut me off. I’ve heard Norfolk, Suffolk, and Cornwall trading standards are already onto this sort of scam. Best not to share any info or book any surveys with these people.

Had a call from a guy named Tom saying it was about government home insulation, like others have mentioned. When I asked if he’d actually done any work at my place, he just said no and then cut me off. Got another call a few days later, same old story right from the start! Asked him the same thing and he hung up again. Caller ID showed 01615051564 too. Proper dodgy behaviour.

Kept ringing my phone over and over again, despite me telling them we’re registered with the telephone preference service. When I asked him for his company’s name to report it, he just cut me off and ended the call.

Some bloke called saying he was Tom from a government insulation programme. I told him we never got in touch with them, and then he just cut the call. Pretty clear it’s a scam!
