6 yearsJust got a call from 020 8760 6029 and it was one of those robo calls saying HMRC was looking into me for fraud or something like that. They asked me to press some buttons, but I hung up straight away and blocked the number. There’s no way HMRC would ring you through an automated message like that. Watch out folks, these fraudsters switch up phone numbers all the time trying to catch you out.HMRC6 yearsHere we go again, another one of those people who should just be sent packing. Seriously, just get lost, you scammer! Claimed there was a job opening I applied for but they spoke in horrible, broken English that sounded like it was coming through a bad phone line. Proper dodgy if you ask me.6 yearsGot a call from this number, some bloke claiming his name was Mike from India. He said I had purposely cheated HMRC and could end up doing years behind bars with my assets frozen. Then he went on about a £30,000 bill and a warrant for my arrest. But apparently, I could sort it out quickly by paying £1650 as an out of court deal. At the start, he sounded pretty legit, but the moment I told him I'd double-check with HMRC myself, he just hung up on me.MikeHMRC6 yearsI had no clue who was ringing me, but when I tried to ring them back, it wouldnt let me. Sounds dodgy to me, probably a scam or some annoying spam.6 yearsI got a call from someone with an accent that seemed like they might be from the Asian subcontinent. They said they were ringing about a job I supposedly applied for and mentioned they had my CV from Reed. They asked me to confirm my name and my postcode. Thing is, my CV is indeed on Reed but I never actually applied for any job. It all felt a bit dodgy, like one of those scams trying to fish for personal info.Reed7 yearsGot a call from 02080028760, bloke had a weird accent and was talking about some job offer. Creepy bit was, he already knew my full address, birthdate and phone number. Definitely smells like a scam to me.7 yearsGot a call from 02080028760, bloke spoke with a thick foreign accent. He said he'd seen my CV and was looking to hire for jobs similar to ones I'd been applying to on different job websites. He mentioned the beginning of my postcode and asked me to fill in the rest, which I did, thinking it was legit. I only figured out later it was probably a scam.7 yearsgot a robocall from some number saying it was hmrc about tax fraud or something, sounded dodgy so i ended the call straight away and blocked the number. honestly, hmrc would not get in touch like that at all! watch out everyone!HMRC7 yearsSomebody's been ringing a vulnerable person telling them they’re going to be arrested for fraud, pretending to be from HMRC. Why on earth would anyone do that? Surely someone needs to put a stop to this nonsense asap.HM Revenue and Customs7 yearsGot a call from some robot voice telling me I was being arrested for customs fraud, even though I just got a normal delivery from abroad. Proper scary stuff! Just blocked the number straight away.7 yearsGot a call from someone saying they were with HMRC, saying there was some tax fraud issue.
