Got a robocall from Sarah Wilson HMRC on 02070433778 sayin I needed to call back straight away or I’d face legal trouble! Didn’t bother ringin back, tried blockin the number but there was no caller ID so I couldn’t. Definitely seems fishy!!

I received a rather alarming call purporting to be from HMRC, where the individual blatantly threatened me with legal action! The caller was incredibly forceful and quite intimidating. I've made sure to report this scam, as it’s outrageous-these sorts of criminals really ought to face the music and be locked up!

I recently received a rather alarming voicemail from this number. It featured a woman's voice, distinctly American, claiming to represent HM Revenue & Customs. She insisted that it was crucial I get in touch regarding a "sensitive issue". The urgency was palpable, as she urged me to call 0208-002-8756 immediately. She ominously stated, "Do not ignore this message. If we don’t hear from you or your lawyer, be ready for potential legal repercussions." Such theatrics are absolutely absurd...

Just like the others here, I rang back using my landline but my number was hidden. Some bloke with an accent answered claiming to be from HMRC, so I quickly ended the call. Got another one not long after too. I’ve already sent a report to the HMRC scam team via email.

I received a phone call where a rather robotic voice left a message claiming to be Officer Sarah Willis from HM Revenue & Customs. Like what others have said, I got a voicemail from a woman with an American accent calling herself Sarah Wilson (or maybe Wilton). She said if she doesn't get any reply from me or my lawyer, I should prepare for legal trouble. Seems like a blatant scare tactic to me, but I can see how it might trick someone less careful into getting scammed or worse.

Absolute scam alert! Got a robocall pretending to be from HMRC, saying my address is being watched and I have unpaid taxes to sort right away. Seriously, ring them back and have a bit of fun - tell them you’re from the HM Fraud Division and their place is under constant watch! Give ‘em a dose of their own medicine!

Got a call from a bloke with an Indian accent claiming to be from the HMRC, talking about some ‘Lawsuit’ against me! Then he gave the name John Smith, which set off alarm bells straight away. I told him I don’t have any problems since I’ve actually worked at HMRC before and asked which department he was from. Suddenly, he just hung up on me. I’ve blocked the number now and let my mates and family know to watch out for this one.

Got a call a little while ago with an automated message, so I decided to ring back. They said the police would come to arrest me within hours unless I paid £2900. Otherwise, I'd have to face court and probably end up paying over £20000 in charges. I said I'd pay, and they put me through to some 'top official' to talk about the first payment and monthly fees. When I asked this 'official' to explain what’s going on, he just snapped, 'You might be laughing now, but you won’t be when the police arrest you soon,' and then hung up. Complete SCAM. WATCH OUT.

This number just rang me up claiming to be John Anderson from HMRC, talking about some illegal stuff and unpaid taxes. They told me not to interrupt while they were talking. Then they warned me that the police would show up in 2 hours. I told them I haven’t done anything dodgy and actually they’re the ones acting suspicious. The bloke just hung up on me right away after that!

My mate applied for a passport and then got a call from this number saying his application had been cancelled. They said the police had been alerted and would show up within an hour, also mentioning some unpaid tax from 2015-16 for £1600. He actually fell for it because they knew about the passport application. He was really worried about some sort of info leak and the stress of police supposedly coming round when he’d done nothing wrong! Checked here and realised it’s a scam number.
