Was rang up at 11:20 by that same robotic voice again. Looked them up and lodged a complaint with ACTION FRAUD. It’s crazy these scammers are still free doing this!

Had no clue about this site till a mate mentioned it, but I got a call this morning and felt proper stressed. I ended up ringing HMRC myself and they told me straight up it was a scam. Really nasty stuff - totally threw me off - some people are just awful.

Got a call from this number earlier today, and some guy with an Indian accent told me I was involved in a legal case. He said he was from the HMRC. When I asked him to send me the paperwork through the post, he replied, ‘alright madam, I’ll get the police to come arrest you today.’ What a load of nonsense. Don’t fall for it, it’s just another scam trying to scare people.

Like the others have mentioned, this is definitely a scam. I couldn't pick up as I was tied up, but when I listened to the voicemail, there was a robotic American voice saying I had better call back or have my lawyer do it, or I'd be taken to court! Absolute nonsense. Really hope these fraudsters don't trick someone more vulnerable out there. I've blocked the number now.

Got a missed call from Sara Wilson. I called back and was met with a man speaking with a heavy Indian accent and loads of noise in the background. I hung up straight away as soon as I heard it. Wouldn't trust these folks for a second. Definitely a scam. I’ve blocked the number now but bet they’ll try ringing again from different ones.

Got a call from someone saying they were Sarah Wilson at HMRC. The voicemail was definitely from a robot and pretty intimidating. They said I needed a solicitor and all that scary stuff! If this was really HMRC, I’d expect them to send a proper letter, usually in one of those brown envelopes, explaining what’s going on instead of making threats with a recorded message over the phone.

Got a call from someone saying they were from HMRC, saying I owed £2,000 in taxes and there was a warrant out for my arrest. They even threatened the police would be at my door in a couple of hours because of a court order. They said if I didn’t pay, the debt would jump to £19,000. Claimed they check tax returns for any mistakes to spot tax dodging. I told them I’d ring the cops, then they just hung up on me. Total scam.

Really cautious about this number; it rings me loads and when I finally answered, some robotic woman’s voice was making threats towards me. Don’t get caught up in that trick or scam. Contact your phone company and check if they can block the caller.

Watch out, I think this might be some sort of phone scam. I got a call from HMRC before that was legitimate because of an old job. When I called them back this time, they asked me loads of questions, almost like they wanted me to stay connected. Then the line just went dead. I ended the call straight away, switched off my phone and uninstalled every app. After that, I put all the apps back on and changed all my passwords for emails, banking and everything else. Also gave my bank a heads up just in case.

Got two calls from this number, only picked up on the third try. It was some American accent robot saying "This is HMRC, the moment you picked up." I ended the call straight away and blocked it instantly!

Just got the same kind of robo call. I rang them back and they said I had a court hearing because I owed £2900. Then they put me through to some "Court officials" who asked if I could pay right away. I told them I’d have the money by tomorrow, and they said they couldn’t wait but thanked me and said ‘take care’. Proper crazy, had me worried for a minute. Definitely blocking them now.

Got a dodgy voicemail from some supposed HMRC robot, sounded just like all the other warnings people are getting about legal trouble if you don’t ring them back. Totally laughable. Had to bite my tongue hard not to call them up and tell them exactly what I think. Seriously, don’t bother, just block the number and get on with your life!

Got the same call here, left a voicemail. The voice was really robotic, a woman saying she was an 'officer' from HMRC (never heard them called that way here!). She warned me to call back or face 'consequences', then weirdly ended with 'have a nice day'! Best to just ignore and report it to HMRC or the police, dont ring them back!

Just had a missed call from 020 8002 8749 claiming to be from HMRC, threatening me with court over tax fraud when I rang back. The person on the other end had an Asian accent. I told them I didn’t trust what they were saying, ended the call, and blocked the number. Be careful out there, folks!

I got a missed call from 02080028749 too, so I rang back and some guy with an Asian accent picked up. He said he was from HMRC and claimed that nobody had rung me and I shouldn’t call back! Also, on Friday, I got another call from the same lot but a different number, and they were shouting abuse at me. I’ve reported it to the police - they said it sounds like harassment and are looking into it.

Got a voicemail from someone with an American accent, claiming to be from HMRC and warning me about legal trouble. When I dialled back, a guy answered with a strong Indian accent, speaking in a really intimidating way. I ended the call straight away. I’ve reported it to the ICO. WATCH OUT FOR THESE CALLS/ NUMBERS - they’re just trying to get as much info from you as possible. Total scammers. These calls should definitely be reported to the police.

I've been getting calls from this number for like a week, and what I did was look up the number on Google to see if it's a scam or from HMC. I'd recommend anyone dealing with this to do the same, and maybe ring HMC Revenue to check as well. If they send you a text, just ignore it and don’t reply. HMC usually sends an official letter if there's any issue.

Someone rang my wife’s phone pretending to be from HMRC, saying a tax probe found £3,000 in unpaid tax. He had a very posh English accent and told her she faced a £20,000 fine or even jail, plus claimed her credit cards were frozen and her driving licence taken away. I heard it all and told her it was definitely a scam, which made the caller hang up straight away. I can see how someone honest and unsuspecting might panic and hand over money quickly just to avoid these threats.

I spent like an hour messing with them. One fella even rang back just to shout at me in Hindi. They’re just trying to freak people out to push them into paying bogus tax debts. Using all the wrong legal terms. Total scam setup, nothing real to stress over. Indian blokes using fake names. Had one bloke try to sound like a Scottish cop with a woman’s voice, so daft.
