Picked up the phone and after a short pause someone just said hello, i responded and then they just cut the call?? Proper confusing stuff.

This number is hands down a total scam. They claimed to be from Carphone Warehouse, offering phone deals and asked me what network I’m with. Then they pitched a Samsung phone deal with unlimited calls and loads of data. Since I know Carphone Warehouse well and have been on Three for years, I gave them all my info. Turns out, scammers placed an order on various networks. I ended up with an iPhone 13 Pro on O2. Felt like I really bought it. Later they rang back saying there was a mix-up with orders and I had to send the phone back. Luckily, I checked the return address and it was just a regular house, no warehouse. I’ve reported it to the police now. Be careful and make sure to block these numbers!

Loads of folks mention 'Car Phone Warehouse' and I get calls from them almost every week. Got a call from someone who said his name was Stanley and that he was ringing from Carphone Warehouse. I told him he had the wrong number. He kept muttering "no, no, yes, no" quite quietly, with lots of people chatting in the background. I ended the call before he could say anything else.
