Not sure, but when I picked up they just ended the call right away. The number didn’t look familiar at all and I’ve had calls from almost the exact same number before that turned out to be a scam. Reckon this was one of those again.

Not really sure what it was about this time, though it’s often something to do with my internet. The phone providers for these numbers really ought to do a better job at stopping these scam calls. It’s possible if they actually bothered to put some effort in. They seem more interested in the money than actually caring about customers.

Got a call from someone with an Indian-ish accent saying they were from Carphone Warehouse. Told him I haven’t dealt with Carphone Warehouse in like 15 years, so it felt dodgy right away. He tried to deny it at first, but when I asked if he could tell me my name or any info about me, he couldn’t. So I asked straight up if he was a scammer and he just admitted it. That was oddly simple.

Got a call from a few folks with strong Indian accents, both blokes and ladies, claiming to be from Carphone Warehouse. They said I could get a brand new Apple iPhone 11 Pro Max with 256GB storage, plus unlimited calls, texts and data for just £30 monthly. Then they asked for my bank info to set up a direct debit - yeah, right! I messsed with them for a good half hour before finally telling them I knew it was dodgy.

The thing is, these are genuine texts from O2 that they’ve set in motion! Within those messages lies your mobile PAC code, which can easily be exploited if they manage to get hold of it. So whatever you do, don’t share that information with them!
