I told her that never happened and she just cut me off straight away. This is like the hundredth time I've had calls on my mobile from different firms asking about a crash that never took place. As soon as I ask where they got my info from, they just drop the call. I block the numbers but somehow they keep coming through!

I politely explained that I don’t own a car, and she promised to take me out of their list. Since then, I haven’t received any calls. I've noticed they hang up if I don’t pick up after about 5 or 6 rings. Sometimes I’m tempted to waste their time with a fake story. When I get these sales calls and I’m bored, I’ll stay on the line acting like I’m really interested, dragging the call out. Eventually, I’ll hang up on them just to let them feel how annoying it is to be cut off abruptly.

Got a call out of the blue saying I’d been in a car crash. When I asked how they got that info, they handed me over to some "accident investigator." I asked him how he knew about the accident, and he just said something about me getting in touch with them first? Felt really fishy to me.

I would receive persistent phone calls from a company, twice a day, regarding an accident that I was not involved in. Despite multiple requests to be removed from their database, the calls kept coming. To deal with such people, I began making up a fictitious story with false names, addresses, email addresses, and accident details. This allowed me to waste their time when they would call me back repeatedly. When I felt satisfied, I would finally answer the phone and deny knowing anyone with the provided details. This has been the only method that has successfully freed me from these unwanted calls, including those from PPI callers. I hope this tactic can help someone else as well.

I got constant calls, sometimes two times a day, about some crash I wasn’t even involved in. Despite me asking loads of times to stop calling and take me off their list, they just wouldn’t quit. Now I just make up a whole story - fake names, addresses, emails, even accident details - and mess around with them. I’ll let them ring me again and again, just to waste their time. Then when I’m done, I pick up and say I don’t know anyone matching all the stuff I fed them. That’s how I finally got rid of these annoying calls, same with the PPI ones. Maybe it’ll work for others too.

I received a call from someone depicting themselves as a representative from Microsoft, speaking with an Indian accent. I expressed my opinion that they should seek a respectable job instead of attempting to exploit others for money. Surprisingly, the person responded by threatening to block my computer, claiming that my lack of cooperation warranted such action. They even warned me that having it unblocked would come at a hefty cost. Instead of panicking, I challenged them to go ahead and execute the block, not holding back in expressing my frustration with a few choice words. To my relief, my computer remains unblocked, as the claim made by the person is technically impossible. I encourage others to stand their ground against such individuals and give them a piece of their mind!
