I told the lady I was expecting their call, but before answering I asked how they even got my number. She kept pressing me and then passed me on to some bloke in an Indian call centre. He said he got my details from the Traffic and Accident Department and works for a company called Lakson Steer Specialist. I asked for his phone number to ring him back and he said it was showing on my screen. I told him no, it’s just a 020 number, not a mobile, and then he just hung up. Seriously, I’m so fed up with these calls. Who keeps handing out our numbers like this?!

Got a recorded message here, looks like some scam trying to get insurance claims from you. Don’t fall for it. I have no clue how to contact the company or stop the calls, but it’s clear they’re using a fake number; it’s not their real one. Ringing back just says “wrong number”. Seriously, this kinda thing should be against the law if it isn’t yet.

Based on statistics, it is expected that they will encounter someone who has been in a car accident in approximately every 1000 calls they make.
