A woman with an Asian accent called me, claiming her name was ‘Roy’!! She said I was a loyal EE customer and could get 40% off my plan!! Forty percent off?! Sounds ace but sounded way too good to be true!! And yep, it was!! I told ‘Roy’ straight up that I wasn’t having any of it and ended the call sharpish!! ‘Roy’ was obviously sticking to some script while I slammed down the phone!!

So, I got a call just yesterday from someone claiming to be with O2, talking about some discount offer. I wanted to check so I asked what name they had on their records. Usually, they just hang up when I ask, but this lot tried to send me a code. Apparently, if you give them the code, they can see your info. Honestly, don't fall for it because your bank details could be linked to their system, especially if you pay bills through direct debit. It’s better to be safe than sorry!

02045996816 I’m pretty sure the guy who’s been stalking me shared my number with some sketchy sites. I got a call that kept ringing forever, and when I finally picked up, they just hung up straight away. It definitely came across like some call centre from India. I blocked that number, but then another similar one popped up and called me again almost immediately. This kind of thing’s been happening to me for more than a year now.

Seems like this number isn’t linked with any known networks here in the UK. You might want to send any suspicious texts you get from it to 7726. It’s a free service most UK mobile users can use to flag spam messages or calls. By forwarding the message, your network can trace where it came from and potentially stop that sender if they’re causing trouble.

Really annoying folks, just wasting their time bothering decent people in the area with their pointless little games. Always trying to sell some rubbish offers nobody wants. Bloody idiots, honestly.

I got a call from someone claiming to be at Carphone Warehouse, saying I could get an iPhone 14 Pro Max for just £35 a month. It was obviously a scam trying to trick me into handing over my bank details. Don’t fall for it!

I usually just ignore calls from numbers I don’t recognise, so I didn’t pick up this one.

I just picked up and immediately got off the call. Definitely a scam.

I got a call from someone claiming to be with O2, saying I was eligible for an upgrade. When I told them I’m not even with O2, they asked why and then suddenly got quite rude.

Got a call from someone speaking with a thick Indian accent claiming he was from O2 and that I’d been picked for an upgrade. Problem is, I’m not even with O2. Clearly some sort of scam, so I just ended the call straight away.

Ignored the call, sounded like a spam number.

Oh mate, these fraudsters pretending to be from my mobile provider, Vodafone in my case, sent me a message with some code they said was a discount. I knew it was dodgy, so when “Raj” (funny how he claimed such a British name) started buzzing on the phone really quick, I kept saying “slow down will ya?” but he kept up the rapid chat. I fed him a load of nonsense codes, just to mess about, and ended up wasting around 10 minutes until he got fed up and hung up. Did I say summat wrong or what? Haha 😂🤷🏻‍♂️

This person was obviously trying to hide their real accent and pretended to be American, saying they worked for O2. Then they went on about how lovely my voice was, which was just really uncomfortable and felt like harassment. I ended the call straight away and blocked the number.

He called and asked if I was Lola, which isn’t my name at all, then he went on to say the right name like he knew me or something.

Got called by someone claiming to be from O2 saying there’s a 40% discount, sounded dodgy so I spam-blocked the number straight away.

Got a load of texts saying they were from o2, asking for codes to get into my account. I told the bloke he wasn’t really from o2. The funny part? The messages from o2 warn you not to share the codes with anyone, even o2 employees, so he basically gave himself away. Just hang up if you get something like this! Total scammers!!!

Constantly getting calls from these lot pretending to be O2! As soon as I block one number, they switch to another one to keep pestering me. One bloke even rang claiming I was his missus, calling me all sorts of names. Before these calls started, my other half got one first and they sounded pretty legit, she almost fell for it until she sussed it was a scam. By then, they’d already managed to change the address linked to our O2 account. Thankfully, she rang O2 and got it fixed straight away! Honestly, these scammers are just annoying parasites!

Got a ring from these lot pretending to be from 02, saying there was a 40% discount if I gave them a code 02 supposedly sent. I knew right away they were dodgy, so I decided to have a bit of fun and catch them out. I told the bloke I wasn’t giving any codes to scam artists, and he had the nerve to ask how I knew. I pointed out he hadn’t even verified himself first and that I’m not meant to share that code. Plus, I mentioned this number’s already on scam reports. He tried to push but I told him to get a proper job ‘cause folks are wise to these tricks now. After that, he just said thanks, ma’am, and hung up.

Got a call claiming I could get a discount with O2. They gave me a one-time code, which I deliberately read back really slowly and wrong. When it didn’t work, he wanted me to say it again. I told him to stop being so bloody dumb, and he shot back with “stupid b***h” before hanging up. Honestly, felt pretty good doing that.

Got two calls from these muppets, one pretending to be some bloke called ‘Roy’ (Indian Roy, funny enough). Took the mick for yonks, said he was from EE and tried to sell me 40% off, asking what my last bill was! Told him he should already know if he’s from EE. Ended up making them both hang up after I gave them a load of rubbish back!

Got a call from someone claiming to be O2 offering me 30% off my bill 😂 They even sent a text with a code to access my O2 account. When I told them I wasn’t sharing the code and asked if they knew my name like they said, or how I’m so “lucky” to get this discount, they just hung up.

Some joker pretended to be from 02, total scam like always. I played along, acting clueless, and got them to ring me back three times. Eventually, they got fed up and stopped trying. Proper waste of their time!

I got a call from this number that looked like a scam. At first, it rang for about 20 seconds before cutting off. Then, it rang again straight away but this time it ended right away. Really sketchy behaviour.

Just a heads up, dont ever call back or answer if you get a call from these people claiming to be O2. They try to trick you into sharing your OTP code. Please dont give it to them, its a scam!

Got a call from someone claiming they were from EE and had a 30% discount offer. I told them I doubted it was a legit EE call, but they insisted it was. I refused to share any info, then they just cut the call off. I didn’t get any messages from EE after, so definitely a dodgy call, no doubt spam.

Got a call from this number about midday but I ignored it since I don’t usually answer unknown calls. When I rang back, it went straight to voicemail. Later, I looked up the number here and saw what it was about.
