No way was I giving bank details to total strangers over the phone, felt like a classic scam. What really creeped me out was that they already knew my full name, address, phone number, and even my birth date! Quite unsettling if you ask me.

Someone rang me up claiming I’d won some kind of beauty contest I apparently joined last year. They had all my details - name, birthday, where I live and even my email, which freaked me out a bit. They said I’d also bagged lottery tickets but I’d need to cough up some money for them, at a massive 90% off. Then the woman on the phone actually asked why I suspected it was a scam and insisted they were a proper company. Absolutely ridiculous.
