I've received around four calls from these chancers claiming we owe £118 for a warranty we never actually subscribed to. They had my name and were fishing for bank details, so I suggested they send a cheque rather than give them anything too easily. I received a call from an Indian gentleman who claimed to be sorting out a refund for a non-existent washing machine warranty I supposedly had been overcharged for. When I suggested they return the funds to the original account, they insisted it had come from my card and required the number. I proposed they send a cheque instead, but they flatly refused. Upon mentioning that I was recording our conversation, they abruptly ended the call. Their persistence was rather unsettling. I urge everyone, especially the elderly and those who might be more easily swayed, to stay vigilant and spread the word!

Got a call from 02045204990 saying I was owed money back for a washing machine. Definitely sounded like a scam to me.

Got a call from some supposed "Home Repair" company, but they had a weird accent, not British. I just ended the call straight away. Then, a few hours later, they rang me again but disconnected right when I answered. Pretty dodgy if you ask me.

I got a call from someone saying I'd paid too much for my washing machine warranty and that I was due a refund of £119. They asked for my bank details, but since they already knew my address, I told them to just post me a cheque instead. After that, they just disconnected the call.

Someone called saying they were refunding me for a washing machine I bought, they even knew my first name. Asked for my bank info to process the refund but I wasn’t having any of it, thought it was a scam. As soon as I said no, they just ended the call.

Had a call from someone with a heavy Indian or Pakistani accent, who said his name was John. He claimed he was trying to give me a refund for a washing machine warranty I supposedly bought. Pretty clear it was a scam, since I don’t even have any warranty on a washing machine.

Bought a tumble dryer from Currys last week and made it clear I didn't want any extra warranty. This evening, I got a call from this number but didn’t pick up. When I searched it here, loads of comments say it’s a scam about warranties. Makes me wonder if Currys has had another data breach or something. I can’t believe they’d be trying to push warranties after I already declined.
