I answered the call after a brief silence of about three seconds, and on the line was a woman speaking with a distinct Korean or Japanese twang. She claimed that my parcel was experiencing some sort of delay. Now, it’s true that I have a few packages making their way from China (none exceeding £2 from AliExpress, mind you), and I knew immediately this was off. She kept insisting that a customs fee was required to release it - a hefty £235, no less, despite the items supposedly being worth thousands! Yet, when I pressed her, she refused to specify what was inside the parcel. It was glaringly apparent this was a scam. Just a heads-up for anyone else; tread carefully, as this is clearly dodgy… consider yourselves forewarned!
