When I searched the number here, loads of people said it’s a scam, pretending to be EE or O2. This isn’t the first time I’ve had these dodgy calls either. Strange thing is, they always ring just after I’ve switched to a new phone or sorted a contract renewal. Had this call from what sounded like a hectic call centre in India, pretending to be EE about some phone issue. When I asked where they got my number, every single time they said exactly the same thing: “My company gave it to me.” Even their ‘supervisor’ repeated that line word for word. Then things got weird, with the supervisor blathering about my wife giving the number and some odd flirting comments about my age, like guessing I was in my 40s but was actually 12 or something daft. Totally fishy and odd experience.
