02045204425 Summary (Read all comments)

Phone number ☎️ 02045204425 👆 is reported as a persistent scam number often posing as major UK mobile providers like O2, EE, and occasionally retailers such as Carphone Warehouse or Currys PC World. Callers, frequently with strong South Asian accents, use scripted pitches offering contract upgrades, discounted bills, or life insurance deals and may employ silence or quick hang-ups when challenged. Many recipients note no message is left, suspecting pre-recorded or robocalls designed to elicit callbacks, which could lead to fraud. Users are advised not to engage, to block the number, and report suspicious activity to proper authorities like Action Fraud rather than simply relying on call-blocking services. The consensus warns firmly against sharing personal or financial details in response to these calls.

Totally a scam. They said they were from O2, trying to get me to sign up for a contract. But I stopped using O2 ages ago, even though I kept my old O2 number (075xxxx). So for me, these dodgy calls are super obvious straight away.

I didn’t even notice the phone ringing, was on do not disturb mode. Just checked back and turns out it was a scam call. Going to block that number straight away.

Had a call from some dodgy woman claiming to be from my phone provider, but she could hardly get through her spiel. When I just said "oh yeah, really?" she totally cracked. Definitely scammers, no doubt about it.

I had no clue Carphone Warehouse was still around, to be honest. Got a call from them but it just felt dodgy, like a total scam.

Sounds like one of those call centres from India. They tried to pitch a supposed better phone deal, but as soon as I mentioned I’d just got a new contract, they kept pushing, asking about my phone model and all that. I told them I wasn’t interested, but they wouldn’t take the hint. Ended up hanging up on them and blocking the number.

Bloody hell, these annoying muppets keep ringing me non stop. Honestly, I’d pay good money for someone to bomb their call centre into oblivion. What a waste of time!

Some bloke from India rang saying he was with O2, telling me not to share personal details on the phone. He mentioned he'd send a couple of texts but got all confusing when I asked why. I just told him to stop messing about, ended the call and blocked the number straight away.

I picked up the phone, but there was no reply on the other end. Seems like they might be checking your voice tone to figure out if you sound older or younger. If the voice sounds older, I guess they assume it’s an elderly person who might be easier to trick.

Got a call from some lad with an Indian accent saying he was calling on behalf of O2. He kept stressing that I shouldn’t share any personal info with folks on the phone. He mentioned he’d be sending me a pair of texts, but his reason was a bit confusing. I just told him to forget it, ended the call, and blocked the number straight away.

Just a short while ago, I received a call from a chap with an Indian accent using this number. They try to get you to ring them from your own phone so they can get into it. Sometimes they'll ask for your card info for some bill that doesn’t even exist. They pretend to be various departments of Wirral Council if you do call back, but if you happen to catch someone for real, it's a no-go. Otherwise, you just get silence.

The message was in really poor English and seemed pre-recorded. When I hit 9 thinking I’d be added to a ‘Do Not Call’ list, it just played the same message again. Definitely a scam.

I got a call from a lady who sounded like she might be Indian, saying she was calling from Currys PC World. Got a call from a woman with an Indian accent trying to sell me something about my phone contract. She claimed they'd slash my bill by 44% by buying out my current deal, and I could even keep the same number with my current network. I asked her how that would work, buying out my contract but still keeping everything the same. When I told her I was a lawyer, she just hung up on me. Bit strange if you ask me.
