I had a rather peculiar experience when I picked up the phone and greeted the caller. It turned out to be a call centre representing Virgin Media’s sales department. However, when I requested them to verify the details of their call, they promptly disconnected. Quite bizarre, really!

They said they were from Warwickshire Media, but I’ve never come across them before. If they don’t ask for me straight away and instead start with “How’s your day going?” and speaking with an Indian accent, I just put the phone down. They also gave out a similar number when I tried to call back. 02045204803

Loads of numbers that look almost the same keep ringing me. Whenever I block one, a slightly different one buzzes me a couple of hours later.

I received a rather pesky voicemail urging me to hit either 1 or 9. I swiftly deleted it and took the precaution of blocking this bothersome number. I'd recommend others do the same if they find themselves in a similar situation!

On Saturday 21/05/2022 around 7:43pm, I got a call on my mobile from 020452004408. Luckily, I was driving then and even though I had hands-free on, I didn’t pick up because the number showed as London, and I don’t know anyone from there. Later, I looked up the number out of interest and saw my phone had flagged it as possibly a scam, so it cut the call right away. I always stay cautious with calls like this anyway.
