I got a call from this number claiming to be Virgin Media, saying they needed my personal info to “verify security.” The woman on the line had a cheerful northern accent and sounded pretty believable! Definitely just hang up and block it.

The calls never get answered and it really annoys me. When I block one number, they just call me from a different one. Honestly, this is nothing but harassment and it’s got to be put to an end.

A bloke rang me the other day, sounding like he had an Asian subcontinental accent, saying he was from Virgin Media. He didn’t seem to know anything about me at all. I wasn’t about to share any personal details. After a bit, he just ended the call. Felt kinda fishy to me.

I got a call from someone saying they were from Car Phone Warehouse. When I asked if I could get an iPhone 13 Pro Max for under £17 a month, they said they could do it for £15. Then they asked for my email and started getting a bit pushy. I told them I wanted to speak to someone else. After that, I muted the phone and shouted as loud as I could, hoping it annoyed them. Seriously, this kind of scam needs to be shut down.

Hey everyone, just a heads up about this number - it’s a total scam. They phoned me up claiming I’d been in a car accident and tried to get my personal details. Don’t answer if it rings! Stay safe and thanks for taking a moment to read this. Have a nice day!

Got a call from someone claiming to be Carphone Warehouse, saying they had an iPhone 13 deal for £30 a month. I told them I already have that phone and supposedly pay £20 a month (which isn’t true). Next thing, they dropped the price to £10 a month! Seemed totally dodgy. They kept asking for my card info, so definitely a scam.

Someone called me, offering a £40 discount on my plan. When I asked why I hadn’t got any email about it, they said they’d send one and asked for my email address. I asked why they didn’t already have it, and they said they do but needed me to confirm it by saying it out loud. I told them I’d prefer to ring Virgin Media myself. Hilariously, my contract isn't even worth £40! Called them three times just today. Ended with these numbers

Just like others have said, the guy said he was from Virgin Media and was pushing some "special deal". He then asked me what I was paying every month, and when I told him if he was really from my provider he should already know that, he ended the call. The call felt like it was coming from India through a UK number since there was a lag and his accent was thick, sounding Indian or Pakistani.
