I got a call from a similar asian-sounding woman, she was reading off numbers that looked like they came straight from some old online ads. The address she mentioned wasn’t even correct, obviously just grabbed from some outdated google listing.

I received a rather peculiar phone call from an individual inquiring whether I was plagued by nuisance calls, which prompted me to chuckle straight away-much to the apparent chagrin of the caller. He claimed to be affiliated with BT and was attempting to sell me a phone for a staggering £246, designed to thwart those pesky nuisance calls. To top it off, he insisted my additional phone upstairs would also incur a charge of £246. I informed him that my current phones were merely three months old, to which he made the ludicrous assertion that they'd soon become obsolete and insisted that I must purchase his devices. I truly can’t fathom how anyone would be gullible enough to bite on this ruse, but then again, one can never be too sure!

Got a call on 20th Jan 2022, but since we've got BT Guardian, it didn't leave any message. We've ended up blocking nearly all unknown numbers these days, probably like 99% of them. Just another lot of scammers in my opinion.

Got a call from this Indian bloke asking if I’ve sorted a funeral and insurance plan. Told him yeah, I already got them sorted. Then he starts saying I should get one for my wife and kids too. Tried ringing back the number he called from but it was just dead. Proper scam, just after your bank details to nick your cash.

Don’t recognise the number at all, and since there was no voicemail I’m guessing it’s either a scam or some sort of marketing call. After seeing what others have said about it, I’m definitely going to block it.

Definitely a call from some overseas centre, cos he said "good afternoon" when it was barely gone 10 in the mornin’. Had this thick accent too, and said his name was Henry - so in response I called myself Darth Vader just for laughs. He even rattled off my address and postcode, but I told him I’d moved and refused to share the new one. It was from Max Poll, total scam, now blocked.

I got a call from a company called 'Max Poll' who somehow knew my full name and where I lived. When I asked where they got the details from, they said it was public records. I mentioned I’d moved since those records were updated. They then asked me to provide my new address but I refused and ended the call.

I got a call from this number, and they kept firing off all sorts of questions like they were checking up on me or something. I fed them wrong info on purpose since they acted like they already knew my details. They didn’t seem to notice I was messing with them, but just as I was about to ask who they were, they dropped the call. Haven’t heard a peep from that number since. Definitely dodgy!

Some guy named Daniel gave me a ring, claimed to be from max pool or something like that. He said he had a few questions for me, but I reckon I annoyed him by firing back plenty of my own. Next thing, he just cuts me off. Hilarious!

I strongly advise against answering calls from unfamiliar blokes who seem to know my name and then have the audacity to ask if I reside at a specific address. They even went so far as to request my address in return! I quickly decided that ending the call was the best option. Honestly, what kind of fool would share their address with a complete stranger? It's utterly ridiculous!

I had a call pop up saying it was a scam, so I just didn’t pick up. Heard from others that it’s supposedly someone pretending to be from maxpoll or max poll. The call was from a London number, so I tried looking up maxpoll/max poll in London but couldn’t find anything.

Got a call today from someone saying they were with a firm called Max Poll. They said they had 4 questions for me. They called me by a name that I only use on some dodgy paperwork, so I knew it was fishy. Then, they started reading out my address and wanted me to verify it. I told them it was wrong and asked for my real address. When I asked for his name one more time, he just ended the call.

I reached out to them directly, but as soon as I declined to engage with their probing personal inquiries, they promptly disconnected the line. They claimed their name was Hannah, yet there was a strong accent that made me think the call originated from India. It was rather peculiar as they were addressing me as "ma'am" while making comments about what a splendid day it was!

No clue who was calling since they didn’t bother to leave any voicemail. Seriously, what kind of UK business rings and then just doesn't say a word? Feels like it might be some kind of automated system just scanning numbers or something.
